The controls on the Bobcat 430 ZHS mini excavator that I operate has control levers that violently shake back and forth if they are bumped. They also shake sometimes when they AREN'T bumped, which can be very annoying. So I thought I'd annoy YOU with this video about it. ----------------------------RIDDLE: A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. I think they did. Now they got this new M-series out and I heard from someone that used one that it’s better than the 430 I believe.
If its better than a 430 than Wow!

“The mechs at the Bobcat dealership cannot find anything ‘wrong’ with the controls though.”
They don’t understand the problem then.
This happens to CAT’s too. (mini excavators).
It’s all to do with the design of the valve, springs in the valve (detent/return springs) bad seals in the pilot valve (or bad tolerances), or if it has a uni joint underneath. Make sure there is very little movement / clearance between the handle plate that contacts the valve-pilot plunger.
Im betting worn joint

Good question. I’m thinking both machines would have the same technology, but I’m not an expert. I know we have one 430 that has a bad chatter in the controls when using the crowd and boom up functions (as in grading) at the same time, while the other one has no such problem. The mechs at the Bobcat dealership cannot find anything ‘wrong’ with the controls though.
All I can do is shrug my shoulders.

Thanks.
The control pattern has a lever to switch from one to the other.
Didn’t know the pressure was adjustable. I’ll pass it on to our sort of mechanic guy.

Try tightening up the hand control (replace the unijoint underneath) and change the pilot pressure.
If not, you have feedback in the pilot valve.
See if the dealer has seen or heard an update for these pilot valves. (check valve stuffed etc etc)
Did you, or have you manually changed the control pattern from the factory??
